@KaijuReaper@Shadowglades The point is... what BioWare was doing for there last 3 games wasn't popular and not what their OG fans wanted. Mass Effect was there shot at redemption but they but Veilguard failed so hard nobody even wanted it for free.
@KaijuReaper@Shadowglades EA encouraged this behavior... the sales tank... everyone else gets punished. But at the end of the day you can't say that characters like Tash didn't have an effect on sales.
They had a chance to make ME5 as far removed from Veilgaurd as possible and if the leaked concept trailer was any indication it could have been. But the suits didn’t want to gamble even though they fired a bunch of the people that made Veilgaurd already. Had Veilgaurd not tried to be gayer Baulders Gate and built on the Silas cliff hanger of Inquisition it could have sold better
Bioware died because all the talent left and was replaced with useless political activists!
The only thing that was Bioware until it's death, was the name of the studio.
The rest was just putrid rot!
Gaming journalists are so deluded into controlling the narrative and gaslighting us that they want us to believe that the Bioware that gave us Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect is the same Bioware that's been crashing and burning for the last 16 years.
Video game studios are all dying, like BioWare, Halo Studios, soon The Coalition(Gears of War: E-Day), etc. because we’re not in a meritocracy, we’re in an incompetocracy
Incompetent, unqualified people hire less qualified, less competent people(like themselves) to feel like they’re good, kind people while actively building unbelievably toxic, discriminatory, sexist, hateful businesses and practices that destroy and pervert everything you loved
EA was all on border with that stuff because it gave them black rock money. BioWare would have been shutdown ages ago if they were any other EA studio. The suits are at fault but if games like Andomida and Veilgaurd didn’t fail and become internet memes they would still be operating.
