@Joshstrangehill Only half-related, but Wiggum reading Homer J Simpson upside down as Uosdwis R. Dewoh is one of my favorite jokes in the series. "Better start with Greektown."
Reminder that the latest news of Sony halting physical game production comes right off the heels of them also halting releasing their games on PC. What the hell is happening over there, man?
A personal thing I hate about digital purchases is the mandatory updates. Wuchang got censored HEAVILY a month after release, and if you own the game digitally, you can't downgrade. Crash Team Racing had TERRIBLE microtransactions patched in that fucked game balance post release
Extremely sad to think I'll never release another physical game for PlayStation. Releasing the physical versions of Animal Well was a huge motivator all throughout development. It really kills my desire to develop for the platform. I'm hoping they reverse this decision : (
Funny thing about Steam Machine for me is the reason I'm not getting one is that I like the idea so much I already built my main PC very similarly to be able to bring to the living room TV, connect a controller, and boot up Big Picture mode.
@chancletamangu It's not at all complicated, it's just a PC at the TV, and hitting the home button on a connected controller brings up Steam Big Picture, so no mouse or keyboard needed, though a wireless m+kb is easy to use anyway
@P1X3Lgliitch It's not intended to be the same thing; it's my main PC for everything (video editing, DAW work, etc), but is compact enough to unhook and carry to the TV at which point it's temporarily similar to the Steam Box experience.
@P1X3Lgliitch It's definitely bigger and heavier, but I've got the Deck for portability. This just needs to be carried between my desks or to the living room TV, so it's not an issue and allows for more powerful hardware, currently has a 5070 and 9800x3d.
