DASO-UCT CALL FOR LEADERSHIP
Date: 17 March 2020
Release: Immediate
By: DASO-UCT BEC
As DASO-UCT, we wish to express our utter discontent for the woeful display of leadership of the current SRC.
Dear students,
It has appeared that our President @AkhaTutu is eating at the table of management and unashamedly sold out students by retracting the SRC’s position, without the knowledge or consultation of the majority of the SRC.
Moreover, as this thread on Twitter is indicative of abuse of SRC resources for a political end, DASO-UCT will take onto itself to ensure that the SRC's actions are held accountable. There is precedence in which the abuse of SRC resources for political gain is indeed punishable.
We therefore call on the University Executive to provide the urgent support to the affected students with immediate effect.
End.
