#SRH785 Thank you to all the midwives out there!!

[Senator Becca Rausch - INACTIVE ACCOUNT @BeccaRauschMA]

It’s Internat'l Day of the Midwife! I’m so proud to champion the Out-of-Hospital Birth Access + Safety Act (S1519/H2341) w/ @RepKayKhan to license home-birth midwives in MA. Passed unanimously in @MA_Senate last term. Past time to get it done! #LegalizeMidwivesMA #IDM2021 #MApoli

#SRH785 I believe the younger individuals learn about unbiased sexual education, the better it will be for them in the long run.

✨ It’s #SexEdForAll Month! ✨

All young people have a right to education, info & skills to make healthy decisions about their lives. That’s why we’re joining advocates across the US to call for equitable access to the high-quality, evidence-based sex ed that youth deserve!

#SRH785 It’s interesting to know that I’m still learning to use more inclusive language surrounding sexual reproductive health. Hopefully in the near future, the education system will be more intentional about using and teaching how to use inclusive language at a younger age.

#SHR785 I was not sure what to feel today. I question why did it take 15 days to deliberate a murder caught on camera. Another part of me is wondering (unfortunately) who is next. Hopefully this nightmare ends very soon. George Floyd, Rest In Power.

"I would not call today's verdict justice, however justice implies true restoration," Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said. "But it is accountability which is the first step towards justice and now the cause of justice is in your hands." https://t.co/1ZnoSIDIaN

Understand that police violence is a #reproductivejustice issue. It is a #birthjustice issue. It is a #humanrights issue. Mothering a Black child under the constant threat of state sanctioned violence means that when I see #DaunteWright I see my child. Why don’t you? #BMHW21

[Sasha Dastine @DastineSasha]

#SRH785 I dislike social media for the simple fact every now and again I have to scroll down my feed to see yet another senseless HOMICIDE (aka MURDER) by a member of the police force. When will this nightmare end? We don’t need another hash tag, we are pleading for this to end.

Hopefully those who have spent many years of their life in prison due to a marijuana charge can be relieved in some way especially if they had no previous crime related record. #SHR785

[The New York Times @nytimes]

New York State has legalized the use of recreational marijuana. 40% of the tax revenue will go to minority communities, and people with marijuana-related convictions that are no longer criminalized will have their records automatically expunged.

Where does this leave travelers who are not willing to get vaccinated or can not get vaccinated for various reasons? #SHR785

[The New York Times @nytimes]

Even as the continent grapples with a third wave of coronavirus infections, some European countries have started welcoming vaccinated travelers, including American tourists. Others are making preparations to ease restrictions in time for the summer season.
