In 2019, Palladium Group Ltd, implementing the Northern Uganda Transforming the Economy through Climate Smart Agriculture (NUTEC-MD) visited @OmiaLtd in Arua. I was asked how my business (in frame 1 then) could be facilitated to improve livelihoods of smallholder farmers in West Nile.

Fast forward we signed a partnership agreement in March that year (renewed for another year in March, 2020). What did we agree to do together;

1. Extension services (at the outlet and at the farms )
2. Radio Adverts and Talkshows to create awareness.
3. Introduction to key Manufacturers and importers of Agro Inputs in Uganda.
4. Acquired QuickBooks (now we have moved to @Odoo
5. Establish a network of agents to ensure last mile access to Agro Inputs. The agents hosted demo gardens for Hanson learning.
6. Enterprise Specific trainings at selected sub/counties
7. Developed our first website, business plan and operational Manuals
Etc.

This foundational partnership is all that we needed to reach to our customers and retain them. And later, we were able to successfully compete for other opportunities to partner with actors such as @OutboxHub @WashFellowship @USADF @WFPUgandaCD @SNVworld and @ayudaenaccion

We have grown from that small shop in Arua to 3 locations in the same City, Adjumani, Yumbe, Zombo, Kiryandongo and Kampala. We employ over 34 young people directly, reached to over 30,000 farmers, over 60 agents in the rural areas and take in 15+ interns annually.

This week, a team led by the Team Leader Palladium together with officials from @UKinUganda paid courtesy at our Kiryandongo outlet. We were very happy to see them. We have on our own sustained almost all the activities we started with them in 2019/2020.

We are grateful.
