@Keir_Starmer £5bn of welfare reforms was hardly bold and yet you couldn’t get your own party to back that. Interested to see what’s coming with V2! Employer NI hike and ERB all negative for business confidence and jobs, with the hospitality sector hit particularly hard by the increase to NLW.
@DanielParslow@MarkHalliwell1 Dan - you were immense. The unsung hero of that season. I remember giving you a lift after the Macclesfield game with @_BillyWaters and telling you that you were our best player. Never put a foot (or head) wrong. Hope you are well!
@UKLabour We are picking up the bill, through increased taxes and higher government borrowing. With people living longer it's unsustainable and we need to consider radical, alternative ways to fund future health care.
@BruceSlatton@ThatTimWalker@grok In 2018 we made 5,500 return applications and 209 asylum seekers were sent back, BUT we took 1,215 in return from the EU, so net we were 5x worse off. So much for the Dublin agreement!
@PhilMyers53 Not a chance. If he manages to limp on to the Gorton and Denton by-election, he'll be gone after the results are announced. Then it won't even be #twoyearKier
@terrychristian We are flat broke because we spend more than we raise in taxes and fritter £100bn on servicing our ballooning debt, despite UK economy outperforming major EU member states since Brexit.
@Clainy6 And this was a two way agreement. In 2018 we made 5500 return applications and 209 asylum seekers were sent back BUT we took 1215 in return, so a net recipient! The Dublin agreement didn't work.
