I am doing my utmost to get the app into the hands of users in the US, but the process is proving to be extremely challenging.
I really aim to reach $10,000 MRR
This app is still new but the onboarding is so good and unique that it feels like only a matter of good distribution before it starts generating serious revenue.
Onboarding
- Fun duck intro video
- Cute, memorable mascot
- Collects key user data
- Builds a personalized mental health plan based on your answers
Paywall
- Starts with a single annual plan
- Includes a 7 day free trial
- If you close it, a second paywall appears with 2 additional options: quarterly and monthly
This app nailed the onboarding experience from day one.
Don’t treat onboarding as an afterthought.
It’s one of the most important parts of your app.

I set up my TikTok account and managed to reach US users, but getting a post to go viral is really tough.
I’ve been posting once a month, and the most views any single post has gotten is just 1,000.
Being an indie dev is hard!
It seems like Apple has temporarily stopped approving new apps, right?
App updates are still getting approved within about two days, but new apps have been stuck on "Waiting for Review" for nearly a week now.
https://t.co/bkVIxb6U98 is like a game for the wealthy to flaunt their status; I don't think spending tens of thousands of dollars there to promote a product would yield a profit 🤔
