IVC Kissing Sign | POCUS Pearl
On ultrasound, the IVC collapses almost completely during inspiration, with the walls “kissing”.
Suggests low intravascular volume and possible fluid responsiveness, commonly seen in hypovolemia.
🚨 Choking is a true emergency

A) Treats hypertension, not seizures. the life-threatening emergency is the seizure
B) Same reasoning as A
C) Not first-line for seizures in pregnancy
Used for: Persistent seizures despite MgSO₄ or if MgSO₄ is contraindicated
D) First-line treatment for eclampsia ✅
This is an unstable wide-complex monomorphic VT
(hypotension, tachypnea, SOB, dizziness)
A) IV amiodarone → for stable monomorphic VT
B) IV adenosine → for regular narrow-complex SVT
C) Sync cardioversion → Correct ✅
D) IV magnesium sulfate → for polymorphic VT
