#Supergirl star Milly Alcock addresses the backlash she received after saying that “simply existing as a woman is something that people comment on. We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies.”
“I didn’t even say ‘men’ — I said ‘people!’” Alcock says. “And they got so angry. I was like, ‘You’re proving my point. You’re proving my point!’” “And [the backlash] is from a lot of people whose profiles have no photo, who are burner accounts. Or someone’s name and then ‘Dad of four, Christian,’ which is hilarious to me. But I mean, whose opinion do you really care about? If you’re pissing the right kind of people off, you’re doing OK.”

At what point did you think it was okay to scribble all over my illustration just because you don't like a ship? And then repost it without permission too... like, Idk... 💀

First, regarding the incident at the Taipei event, the video circulating online does not show the full context. At the time, my manager did not stop Sister and her team from entering the venue. The person my manager was speaking to was someone who was not related to the event.
Therefore, the online claims that my manager prevented Sister from entering the backstage area are simply not true. We have the complete video as evidence, but due to ongoing legal matters, we are unable to release it at this time.
Many people have also been asking about our second project. Both parties are willing to continue working together. However, the script, the production company, and the overall collaboration schedule still require further discussion.
The rumors claiming that I will be working solo are also untrue. Whether it’s a duo project or an individual one, my team will respond and coordinate the schedule as soon as possible.
I have never intended to take advantage of anyone, nor have I ever intended to abandon anyone. I have always cherished every opportunity to stand on stage, every collaboration, and every person who has supported me. My original intention and passion have never changed.
Through this incident, I have learned a lot, and I also realize that there are still many areas where I need to grow. In the future, I will continue to improve myself and make my team more professional. I hope to do my very best in every collaboration.
Lastly, I want to thank my family, friends, partners, staff, and every fan who has supported me along the way. Thank you for always believing in me and staying by my side. I also want to thank everyone for being willing to listen to me say all of this. Thank you .

Throughout the process, I carried an overwhelming amount of grief for Grace. To find her emotional truth, I couldn’t begin with the cold composed woman you all saw. I had to begin with the 6 years old child. She had to completely unravel crying screaming and breaking apart before I could slowly bring her back down into Dynamic 1 which is the functional mask she wears every day.
Underneath that mask, the little girl never left. She is still trapped in that morning. Still hearing the gunshot. Still watching her mother die before her very eyes. Still reaching for someone she could never save. Every glance came from that little girl…frozen in time
When Grace pushes Henri’s body away…is it really Henri she’s pushing away? Or is she pushing away the pain that has haunted her for her entire life?
When she tells Lom that love is stupid…is she really speaking to Lom? Henri? Or is she speaking across time to her mother and to that little girl who never understood why love had to cost so much?
In her final moments, as her mother’s face flashed before her eyes, she realized she wasn’t so different from her mother after all. In her own broken, twisted wayshe too had done everything in the name of love.
Thank you for everything, Grace. Thank you for allowing me to experience an entirely different spectrum of human emotion 🤍🕊️
