Mt. SAC Rolls Over Moorpark at Hilmer Lodge
SEPTEMBER 27, 2025 | WALNUT, CA — Light rain fell throughout the game, but it did little to slow Mt. SAC’s (@mtsacfootball) dominant showing. The Mounties controlled the contest from start to finish, cruising past Moorpark 61-12 on Saturday night at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
QB Daunte Bell (Huntington Beach HS) opened the scoring with a 37-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Elijah Crook (Sultana HS / Hesperia), finishing with 129 passing yards.
Fellow quarterbacks Hunter Herrera (Citrus Valley HS / Redlands) added 73 yards and a touchdown, while Eric Najarro (Glendora HS) chipped in 45 yards and a score, giving Mt. SAC balance under center.
On the ground, running back Aiden Ramos (Bishop Amat HS / La Puente) led the rushing attack with 68 yards and three touchdowns.
In the air, wide receiver Devon Anderson (North Eugene HS / Eugene, OR) highlighted the passing game with 113 yards and a 61-yard touchdown grab.
The defense and special teams also fueled the blowout. Defensive back Brandyn Wetherspoon (Bishop Amat HS / La Puente) returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown, while linebacker Solomon Tripline (Edgewater HS / Orlando, FL) added another pick.
On special teams, linebacker Daylon Storey (Millennium HS / Goodyear, AZ) scooped up a blocked punt and raced 33 yards for a score.
With the win, Mt. SAC improved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Mounties will continue conference action on the road against Santa Ana College on October 11.
