@KeithMcCullough Just to clarify the situation. Keith posted on X and the Bitcoin tracker was updated later. Hence the mismatch and my initial confusion.
@annabelbrodies@AICPRESS Really? The larger the trust, the more limited there portfolio can be. Chances are they end up performing like an index tracker and then compete with tracker ETFs. Not good for general UK equity market health to me. Am I missing something?
@g__j Locational pricing is the better long term but would an immediate solution be for wind farms to have to sell the electricity produced rather than turn them off. Would help domestic battery storage take-up. Is it tech/capacity issues forcing them to switch off and be paid for it?
@HedgeyeENERGY It's great to see this sector focus. Can you confirm if the Energy Pro product will have a regional (US) focus or more global coverage (including non US stocks). Looking forward to seeing the product release.
@wheeliedealer That was a tactic used in the 80s by the American riders (Kenny Roberts, etc). They used Dirt track style (power slide through the corners) to solve to peaky 2 stroke power delivery. Everyone else had to wait for the bike to get out of the corner before applying power.
@wheeliedealer I've read in several places a few days ago that the market is expecting 0.25% rise, so already priced in. I expect today's price movements are more around US markets/news and possibly looking further ahead for more increases based on yesterday's inflation number.
@PensionCraft It seems to be a world wide strategy to tame inflation at almost all cost. Short term pain is better than long term inflation? Therefore I think they have to continue to raise rates to remain credible (ie point b is wrong to me)
@smarkus@conkers3@wheeliedealer@RobBAylesbury What annoys me equally is that public sector final salary pensions are not included in that limit. The size of pension pot required to fund some of their schemes would be huge and is totally ignored.
@feedthedrummer If you have a decent bike just wait until you go to sell it. They come to your home and do the same. Seen a very sad story on TV and also happened to people I know.
@diyinvestornet Good balanced points made. What's Kepler's role in the article? I've been looking at SONG since launch but never invested for several reasons. The point about discount rates is interesting but what figure are they applying the discount to? NAV?
@TheSecretAcct @SHARESmag What a crap article. Lots of words and not much in the way of investment figures. 10% below some forecast and 1% divi doesn't sound good to me. Guess you didn't do the sums on required investment to fund flights? Buying BP to fund your energy bills is probably more realistic
