@BasedMikeLee This is all about political grandstanding. I think the most likely reason is your church demanded the full name of the church, which is very long, not leaving enough room for the "Christian -" part.
That has to be considered in this discussion.
@michaeljknowles I suspect some of the reason is that for several years now they've demanded the full name of the church only. That's quite long and I wonder if that created problems to add Christian - in front of the full name.
@DavidAFrench I think the big issue is that the LDS Church insisted on the full name for years, and someone with limited space threw up their hands and said, "fine, here you go.".
