Steve Yzerman says shortly after the season Dylan Larkin's agent called & asked for a trade. He followed up & gave them a short list of teams that he would consider waiving his no trade to. "Dylan has 5 years remaining on his contract. My job as the manager of the Detroit Red Wings is always to do what is in the best interest of the Detroit Red Wings" He did not make any guarantees that the request could or would be met.

Pekka Rinne was a very good goalie,but him making the Hall of Fame over Chris Osgood is just wrong. Check out the stats in both regular season and playoffs. Ozzie was not spectacular but he was the starter on 2 Cup teams a decade apart.

Beneath the gruff exterior, Pat Caputo was a funny, caring man who knew more about Detroit sports than anyone I’ve ever known. It was uncanny, almost scary, how much he recalled and recited. I miss his voice, the most-imitated grumble in Detroit media history.
