@WorldWideWob Why are you surprised about Deandre Ayton? The Trail Blazers, a team desperately in need of talent, bought him out. They said, “We’d rather pay you $30 million to play for someone else than have you back with us.” Subtle clue there.
Good people of TwitX! My pal @DaveDeckard has a friend, Skye, who needs a little bit of temporary help, due to a medical issue. I've donated & they just need a few 100 more dollars. If you are in a position to help, please read what Dave wrote below? 🙏🙏

@dwightjaynes If the love child of Mother Theresa and Mr. Rogers said, “I don’t wish to work there or move my family there,” they’re not the hire, no matter how good they are. Saying that doesn’t impinge their character. Not hiring them doesn’t hurt the manager’s. It’s not a character issue.
@dwightjaynes And the analogy, as I’m sure you perceive, is not about me to Dame, but about human beings with jobs and the people who make hiring decisions. Few managers will go all-in on a person for whom their franchise is a second choice. That’s not about character at all. It’s business.
@dwightjaynes Is that a demerit for my character? Also, hearing that, would the station then be eager to negotiate a massive contract that would severely affect their bottom line? Would they want to make me the face of the franchise?
@dwightjaynes Let’s say I’m me—fairly popular, care about ethics, pretty good guy in this field—but pretend I work in radio. Rip City Radio says, “Will you come work for us?” I say, “No, I like it in Boise, but if I ever moved, it’d be to New York. That’s where I want to be.”
@ChadinRipCity You haven’t lived until you’ve heard your teen belting out, “The Cuervo Gold, the fine Columbia’s, make tonight a wonderful thing.”
Son, if you know what that means, no you don’t.
@ChadinRipCity My kid made a Spotify playlist. It has 312 songs and counting. At least 75% are of your genre: Winwood, Jackson Browne, Steely Dan...yacht rock stuff. You haven't just inspired, you've infected.
