🤔TIMELINES PATTERNS & THE BEAT GOES ON

On July 1st, the U.S. Treasury sanctioned two Brazilian nationals and four companies for laundering $30 million in drug proceeds through cryptocurrency on behalf of Brazil's largest criminal organization Primeiro Comando da Capital, known as PCC.

Two days later, Brazilian Federal Police launched Operation Exchange. 50 officers. 13 search warrants. 11 arrest warrants across São Paulo state. Courts ordered the seizure of assets and cryptocurrency up to $2 billion. Investigators identified transactions exceeding $1.92 billion flowing through the network.

The United States designated the nodes on Tuesday. Brazil kicked down the doors on Thursday. Same network. Same money. Same week.

Brazil's federal police said it explicitly. They launched the operation days after the U.S. sanctioned the network. It's on the public record. Two sovereign governments targeting the same criminal organization from two directions within 48 hours.

Now zoom out.
In that same four-day window July 1 through July 4 the enforcement apparatus hit ten targets across seven categories across five countries.

OFAC sanctioned 134 ISIS-K crypto wallets and Tether froze 131 of them within hours. OFAC designated the PCC crypto laundering pipeline and Brazil froze $2 billion two days later. OFAC and FinCEN jointly sanctioned CJNG fuel smuggling networks moving hundreds of millions annually while banks filed $7 billion in suspicious activity reports. The Terrorist Financing Targeting Center designated Hizballah financial institutions that moved $500 million through shadow accounts for a decade. Russian special forces detained the right-hand man of Putin's closest oligarch. Xi Jinping installed a new anti-corruption chief to run the PLA military purge. Ecuador's Chone Killers were designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Eight Tren de Aragua members were charged with kidnapping and murder across Texas and Illinois. And 25 Minneapolis gang members were indicted for running open-air fentanyl markets.

Ten actions. Seven categories. Five countries. Four days.
Terror finance. Cartel crypto. Fuel smuggling. Shadow banking. Russian oligarchs. Chinese military purges. Venezuelan gang enforcement. Domestic drug markets. All in the same week. All documented. All on the public record.

One country doing this is a crackdown. Two is coordination. Five doing it simultaneously across seven target categories in four days is something that doesn't have a name yet.
