Dirtsheet Dave of the award winning Smarksheet newsletter Describes events that have taken place in AEW in the style of a jaded Snarky Dirtsheet "Journalist"
#AEW brought in Shaquille O'Neal to work in a high profile match with company EVP Cody Rhodes. After the match they did an angle which was described by the Booker of the year as "Great" where Shaq vanished into thin air taking 30% of the audience with him
@WrestleTalk_TV Kross came out to deathly silence at that PLE in France in front of the same crowd that had the cameras shaking when AJ styles came out. That told #WWE management exactly how much he was worth to them
Dave Meltzer stating that he guesses what is going on with contract negotiations based on who wins the scripted wrestling matches on TV. Lets look at the facts TK booked Miro in a match when he was out injured. TK's pulling names out of a hat booking system means nothing.
@TripleHHHPaulL Must be disheartening for #AEW talent to try to promote their own shows but all the podcast marks want to ask you about is #WWE even if you have never worked there ever.
Inside 5 years #AEW went from attempting to beat #WWE to dedicating an entire show to annoying a podcaster who said mean things about them. A truly tragic downfall. #AEWDynamite
Only those deep in a wrestling bubble that has deprived their brain of oxygen would believe that adults in Halloween costumes pretend fighting is something that must be taken deadly seriously #Luchalibre#WWERaw#aew
After everything Lex Luger has been through Dave Meltzer would happily ruin his #WWEHOF induction because of a "major wrestling war" that exists only in his mind. It's time #AEW cut him loose, listening to this guys advice for 5 years has already driven them to irrelevancy. #wwe
@GCWrestling_@collective2025#WWE had to step in to save indy wrestling after Tony Khan's best attempts to destroy it. They may have to save New Japan next if it even still exists after their #AEW "partership"
@KingRicochet This tweet could have been copy and pasted from the replies to any tweet put out by Disco inferno in the past 5 years. Criticisms made of #AEW are never addressed or defended by the intellectually challenged fanzine marks they instead just call him a jobber etc
#AEW fans must be starting to watch the shows on Television then as the show progresses more and more of them switch over to stream on MAX explaining the ski slope TV ratings decline as the show goes on.
Dynamite Dave meant that his "no proof, just my hunch" guess was a higher percentage of wrestling fans stream by % than NFL or NBA fans because that's coincidentally the hunch that helps his AEW narrative the most.
Every "Rule" in wrestling was created as a tool to add drama to the scripted matches. Opponent half out the door being dragged back in, race between 1 wrestler climbing the cage & another crawling for the door etc. Fanzine writers like Sean Sapp will never comprehend this.
Is Fanzine writer Sean Sapp on the #wwe payroll? If not how do WWE manage to con him into putting out there exactly what they want put out there time after time? #WWEChamber
#AEW Fanzine writer Dave Meltzer: It's impossible to make comparisons between 2 wrestling shows if one is on network TV & the other on Cable. You can however compare wrestling shows to burgers.
One logical reason not to use a tiny indy ring and a step stool when staging your big international wrestling event is to prevent the entire conversation around the event being about the size of the ring and a step stool. #AEWGrandSlam#AEWCollision
Most know better since it's 2025. There was no actual race. But on Tuesday, one guy ran 100 yards. On Wednesday, another guy ran 30 yards before falling into dogshit. The guy on Wednesday was paid ten time as much as the guy on Tuesday But they weren't racing to begin with
Wrestling fanzine marks genuinely believe that all criticism of #AEW is "bad faith" They can't imagine that some viewers may think a faction consisting of Cesaro and the wrestling trunks guy from 205 live running roughshod over the #aew roster is bad TV. #AEWWorldsEnd
The classic Wrestling Observer AEW media scrum question, where they ask a Q that has a long, rambling preamble to it, frames the scenario for the person answering it, then establishes that the people who think this way are wrong & bad faith b/c everything is in fact, "GREAT!"
@heel_ucey Was there a carbon monoxide leak in the arena that knocked everyone in the crowd out? I can hear someone shouting from the concession stand area.
