Keeping the power and torque the same is a wise move.
Remember extra torque and power will reduce the life of not only the engine but the gearbox and the rest of the drivetrain as well, particularly if the vehicle is worked hard. Not everyone buys these vehicles as a leisure vehicle.
Probably not surprising it’s a fairly old design and being a Indian company they would have focused on what is what is important to the home market and speed is not at the top of the list as the average speeds are lower than here.If it is reliable, light on fuel and the dealer backup is good it should do relatively well .
Having owned a 3 Subaru’s in the past (all manuals ) the normally aspirated engines were not great performers ,I suspect that the extra losses from the permanent 4WD drivetrain played a part in this.Very safe cars in wet weather.
It’s a pity about the lack of dealer footprint though.
Correction,White males were required by law to register when they were https://t.co/WYwUGqOs4I were sent your call up papers during the final year of school so most of us were still 17 when we went into the military. From 1977 the compulsory service was increased from 1 year to 2 years.Thereafter you where put on reserve and could either be called up for a 1 month camp or for 3 months which meant that you would be sent to South West Africa (now Namibia). If you wanted to study after school you could apply for exemption but you would then need to do National service after completing your studies.
@KnightsTempOrg Looks familiar the video was probably taken during the July 2021 riots.
It was not only whites who were defending property it was all races.
@Shikonekeni_ Interesting,I see that the turbos are in the V ,this type of design didn’t work out well for BMW.
Let’s see how reliable it is in the long run…my advice sit on the fence for a couple of years before committing to buy.
Remember that many of the right wing Afrikaners and others saw FW de Klerk as a sellout and were not happy with the way he was taking the country in the lead up to 94.
Please remember the country was very close to civil war at that time ,it’s a small miracle that South Africa did not go the way a lot of African countries went after democracy.
Keep in mind the poor relationship between SA and the Trump administration the choice of Roelf Meyer is probably a good thing.
He has the experience from when he was involved in the transition to democracy to his credit, plus being an Afrikaner there is a better chance of him being accepted by Trump .Sometimes you have to pick the person who is what you feel is the best for the job.
He is 78 ,this makes him close to Trump in age plus because he is an Afrikaner there is a better chance of him being accepted. This plus his previous experience during the transition to democracy is probably why Cyril chose him.
Anyway he has a difficult job given the current relationship between the two countries.
Renaldo, it looks like you are taking the US and Israel’s view on the history on Iran, both these countries fund so called terror organisations behind the scenes and both have and still are committing crimes against humanity. That is not to say that Irans regime is not guilty of the same ,but the killings in Iran were sparked by what the US and Israel had done to destabilise the country to bring about regime change ,like what was done in 1953.
The real reason is not what you say about Western Christian values,it all about getting control over Iran in so doing controlling oil with the aim of weakening US’s main competitor China. For Israel it is about controlling the rough neighbourhood they live and taking advantage of the situation to steal more land.
Given that the USA under Trump has decided to flaunt international law and is behaving like AH before WW2 ,I can’t support the
actions of the US and its accomplice. If you look at their past history in the ME I am not surprised that things are turning out the way they are.Sadly the rest of the world has to pay the price again .
As for Iran SA has historically had good relations with it,they were our main supplier of oil during apartheid, and with the fall of the Shah in 79 things changed but the new regime supported the liberation movements hence the ANC’s stance.
@MyLordBebo Yes ,on older diesel engines without emission control devices and high pressure common rail injection and even better indirect injection.I would not try it on a modern engine, it could end up a very expensive mistake.
