@Nnedi Elementary school. Tons of monster stories. When I was in high school, our school ran from Montessori to gr. 12, and our bus had all grades. I'd sit with the junior school kids and tell serial stories I'd make up on the fly.

Ended up in visual comms., but lots of tech writing.
