Not Labelling and selling Halal to non Muslims - whether stunned, half stunned or stunned breaks the law.
All religiously slaughtered meat whether from the UK or New Zealand where over 90% is Halal needs to be labelled and it should not be fed to non Muslims by public institutions.
We need to get used to the idea of HALF STUNNED Halal.
This is where the real problem lies: all the supermarkets and schools hiding behind ‘Ah but the animal was stunned.’
Yes it was doubly tortured and it was conscious .
It was not bolted and brain dead never to be alive again.
It was tortured by a small electric shock before it had its throat cut .
If the animal is not conscious to hear the word of Allah, it is not Halal meat.

The Government claim to care about animal welfare – but they’re silent on the issue of non-stun slaughter.
I want a complete ban on non-stun slaughter. It’s inhumane, and it’s incompatible with our values.
But at the very least, we need honest labelling.

Make no mistake - we are all eating halal meat without knowing it. It is everywhere. It has infected our meat supply.
I tabled a motion in Parliament calling for clear labelling of meat products by method of slaughter so that consumers can make informed choices.
How much support did it receive? Seven signatures.
Three independents, two Tories, two Northern Irish.
A labelling campaign is important.
Is this Labour Government going to introduce a ban on halal slaughter? No. They are desperate to retain their remaining Muslim voter base.
Reform have said they won't ban it. I don't know the Conservative position.
I would ban halal and kosher slaughter, for the record.
In the meantime, we MUST push for clear labelling.
I believe that the British people are SO against halal slaughter, it would essentially act as a ban. These vile slaughterhouses would be forced into bankruptcy.
Good.
Clear labelling is achievable. I believe it is possible, with enough public support.
Plans from Restore Britain are underway to push this, so please stay tuned. I will do what I can in Parliament.
First let's label halal meat, and then let's push for a full ban on halal slaughter. Are you with me?
So boiling lobsters while they’re alive (ie. can feel pain) is being banned because it’s cruel to animals and causes unnecessary suffering…
…but it isn’t cruel to refuse to stun animals, slit their throats, then hang them up so the blood drains from their bodies????
It says a lot about the power of the Muslim vote that almost no other MP will call for a ban on halal slaughter.
In fact, it's already illegal - but there is a 'religious' exemption.
We must remove that exemption, even if it upsets certain religions. That is not our problem.
Let’s see which politicians have the balls to talk about banning halal slaughter as part of this new ‘animal welfare strategy’.
Farage and Starmer have said they won’t outlaw it. Where do the others stand?
I would very happily vote in favour of a ban on all non-stun slaughter.
I want to know where the Green Party stands on halal slaughter.
A party of ‘animal-lovers’ happy to see hundreds of millions of animals bleed to death in unimaginable pain? Surely not?!
My position is clear.
Halal slaughter, and ALL non-stun slaughter, should be banned.
