AFCON is not a major tournament. NONE of the teams involved have ever appeared in a World Cup final! The attendances for the majority of games is less than 3rd/4th tier EFL games. Adult ticket prices to AFCON games are as low as $8. AFCON is on par with the AFC Asia Cup.
