@Joe_Hallenbeck If you apply heat you risk the vinyl top layer separating from the plastic base, causing an unsightly bubble in the dash pad. Same if you try to pull the disc off. I think dental floss/fishing line is the way to go here.

I have an imported 850R which had a similar appendage...
