@cornwall_fraser@garfster2609@jb1861@howells_joe1 Moss Lane is in a residential area. I can't believe Trafford Council would ever give planning permission to build stands big enough to get the capacity to around 15k, which I presume would be around the minimum size Sale would want for any move from their current ground.
@jb1861@garfster2609@cornwall_fraser@howells_joe1 At a Q&A with the board at Alty earlier this year, they stated there was no truth in Alty taking some of the golf course and that the plan is to do up Moss Lane. There's no way that Moss Lane would satisfy rugby Prem's minimum 10k capacity requirements, its less than 6k currently
@Altyfan1981@altrinchamfc Yes it seems bizarre. The club seems to have forgotten about the Morecambe and Halifax games. We've unfortunately got a few idiots who've latched onto the club, who will no doubt be in attendance. Playing it on a Saturday afternoon as well, just asking for trouble.
@Inter_Alty1977@altrinchamfc Yes, i dont think anyone is expecting War and Peace every week, but maybe an update as often as the club tweets about VPN's, wouldn't be, i don't think, too much to ask.
@Inter_Alty1977 Even though its been £20 for 3 seasons now and so a price rise was probably inevitable, a 15% rise to £23, is i think a hefty one, especially in the current climate. Add in the loss of the 18-21 price bracket for season tickets, interesting to see the impact on crowds next season
@Inter_Alty1977 I wonder if they are not waiting until after the NL play off final on Sunday before announcing season ticket/general admission prices for next season. Last year the Rochdale game was one of those games where it was £22 rather than £20 to pay for extra security.
@CallumSavage_24@joe_elliott04 This group at Alty have popped up this season. For most games there are only a few of them and nothing happens, but for a few games like yesterday v Halifax, when they expect the away team to bring a few idiots, there can be about 25 of them, and it kicks off.
@Jimbokav1971@leewilsonDRFC PP is rumoured to have agreed a deal to become Chester's manager after this season finishes, which is why the Fleetwood job is only temporary.
@altrinchamhq Given the limited number of businesses that need a unit of that size these days, splitting it into 4 or 5 separate units would seem the logical way to go. This of course would cost a fair bit of money, but surely give a better chance for the landlord of getting some return on it.
@DJerrome@OneTrafford Out in Altrincham this evening, you can't miss the overflowing bins in the town centre. These bins are in Market St, Shaws Rd and George St. The last time they were emptied must have been Wed or Thurs. Not a great look, surely this can be improved.
@DJerrome@OneTrafford Thanks for getting back to me. Any idea why the bins on the other half of George haven't been emptied though, as haven't the bins on Market Street. Add in also the amount of street litter in various parts of the town centre, surely things should be better than they currently are?
@Inter_Alty1977 I hadn't realised there had been that many board changes in such a short space of time. It would be interesting to know what's going on behind the scenes to cause this. If I was a potential investor, it would make me a bit wary, as its not a good look.
@Inter_Alty1977 I guess it was always going to be a low crowd last night, given recent form, weather and United on tv, but thought it might be a bit higher. Lowest post covid league crowd?
@topst1970@AvonandsomerRob@SeeDeeMcLeod The Cheshire Cheese shut quite a few years ago, think its now offices. The Malt Shovels is still going though, as is Elite on Market Street. There are offices where the cinema used to be.
@onetrafford@DJerrome Just to make you aware, when the Christmas Lights were being taken down last night, some of the lights were left on George Street, near the Regent Road end. They were just lying on the pavement near a litter bin, about an hour ago.
@hamster310881@mattlecras15@altrinchamfc I think its worth adding the context that Alty are away at Slough next Saturday in the FA Cup. Clearly many Alty fans are doing just the one trip down south, rather than going twice in consecutive weekends, and Slough is the obvious game to pick to go to.
