Does anyone else remember farm aid. I loved this performance of the song. You could feel the energy of the performance. Their comes a rare point in a bands career when they hit their stride and simply nail it time and time again. Then you have the rare gem that can hit their street and nail it for the next five decades. Those are the rock legends we all would love to see.

When I was a teenager I met a new girl in my neighborhood and this was the song playing when I met her. All of the signs were there that this was probably not the best woman for me to fall in love with, but I have to admit she was the love of my life and a mother of my daughter Erica I would love to say if I knew then would I know now I would’ve turned around and run. But I have to let my daughter was the best thing in the world that ever happened to me and despite everything that happened at the end, my first wife did stick with me through the Air Force and being shot in the face and I don’t know how to tell you this, but that’s not always what happens when a soldier is wounded that severely and gone for 3 1/2 months. I no means am I saying she was perfect or an angel or even faithful we did end up divorce, but no matter what happens. I can never consider anything that led to me having my daughter and my grandkids in my life was ever anything less than the best thing that ever happened to me.

When my daughter was in catholic grade school they called this the nuns song. She thought the nuns would give you a dirty look when they mad at a child and they were trying to turn them to stone. I went to Catholic schools too. I think she might’ve been on something.

I think you may be confused so you’re supporting an adjudicated rapist and a convicted felon who’s been looting the American treasury and all that programs from the VA 248 for his own personal enrichment. That’s not speaking truth to power or to the left that’s drinking the Kool-Aid and falling in mind with your dear leader.. A totally unamerican act I might add. I’m sorry we’ve never had an oligarchy in our country or a president even opened the White House to Valadmir Putin or any other Russian leader on US soil. It would only be allowed by a Putin, Sica fan and the total fool who doesn’t know the meaning of the word loyalty to any woman who’s ever had his children much Less a country.
During college I went a two year concert spree and started accepting concert tickets from a friend that worked in the concert industry. They had offered for years and oddly enough, I found myself paralyzed and in a wheelchair and not having care for children and a family so I started going to concerts for about two years. ELO was my last concert before leaving Kansas City it was at the starlight theater. It’s an amphitheater that’s open and outdoors. It was a warm summer day and it was absolutely fantastic.. By far away of my favorite concerts.

I was talking to a young man about 12 years old what was going on in Iran. I asked him what he thought about the cease fire announcement. I was a little taken aback back when he told me I the we need to hire a real negotiator and send Marko Rubio and the presidents son in-law please just stay out of it. I don’t know what else they can promise him other than we’ll do their laundry. Iron their shorts and mow their lawn. I was all of a sudden reminded of the saying people in the Midwest had out of the mouth of babes.. if you want to know the truth, just ask the child they don’t know enough to lie.

This song brings back so many memories of everything from backpacking at Lake Tahoe to canoeing on the American river through the avenue of the Giants. Or rock climbing in the hills of Lake Tahoe, but we had a lot of energy when we were young.

This really does bring back so many memories from fishing and hiking around Wout County Lake to backpacking and climbing Summit at Lake Tahoe and wandering along the American river with a backpack while I was in the Air Force with my wife. I have to admit we never went hiking or backpacking without a very good selection of music and in those days these were the tunes that made it worth going.

Fleetwood Mac just had a seemingly endless string of hits with the combination o of Stevie Nicks and Christie McVey and Mc Fleetwood harmonizing seamlessly some of the best songs on the airways at the time.

Probably the most famous folk song about a Welch witch to ever hit the airwaves. Fleetwood Mac was another one of those bands that brought literally a wall sound to their audience, filling them with an emotional experience that most people sell them seen in concerts.

This is for all the people in Arizona and in the southwest United States, dealing with sweltering heat and broken air conditioners.

When I was in the Air Force it was amazing how guys would go tdy to far away lands and in the late seventies you could count on hearing a host of American music a lot of time smuggled in. But it was there anyway. Music knows no boundaries or borders. Great music had a life of its own. It was like going to London and finding people selling bootleg copies of U2 music that had been banned by the queen..
