The only film I can see that will challenge The Odyssey for scope, story, performance, direction, and score is Dune 3.

And don’t count it out. It won’t have a shaky Tom Holland, its female roles will be more fleshed out AND the commentary on the corruption of power might resonate even more strongly than an Odysseus who has learned the lessons and paid the price for his hubris, desire for power and his acts of war to earn his way back home.

But if Dune 3 can’t beat it for the Best Picture Oscar then nothing will.

You have a masters in literature and are an idiot. When something is adapted from existing material for entertainment purposes creative freedom is part of that. He wasn't adapting a biography it was a fairytale. It would be like getting angry at Peter Jackson for the Hobbit

There are many things that determine the success of a movie. It isn’t what it makes in the first weekend. It’s cost versus box office. The Odyssey did not break even yet and the reviews are mixed. The reason I didn’t want to see it and will not see it is because I have a Master’s in Literature. I already know I’m gonna hate it.

They were saying that the film would flop because of the casting of Travis Scott, Elliot Page, and Lupita Nyong'o, only for it to turn out that they had some of the most stand out performances.

Less 20 minutes screentime between them, but they ate it all up and left no crumbs.

Nolan's worst movie's IMO Tenet and The Following are still better than 90 percent of the absolute dog shit movies coming out today. His best IMO Interstellar and Dark Knight arguably are the best space movie and heist movie ever made

This tweet. Nolan was destroyed for casting Ledger as Joker and IMO its possible the 3rd best acting i have ever seen in a movie. DDL in TWBB and De Niro Raging Bull are the only 2 that top it

In my opinion, Christopher Nolan made the worst casting choice and I spent quite a bit of energy complaining about it.
That was in 2008 and I was so unbelievably wrong. Ever since, I have never complained about the casting if I haven’t seen the movie.

My immediate gut reaction after seeing The Odyssey (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟) is to rank it fourth on Christopher Nolan’s all-time list just above Oppenheimer. Yes, I think The Odyssey is superior to Oppenheimer.
