Accenture $ACN jumped 7% in premarket as it announced a $1 billion 5-year AI safety partnership with Anthropic.
The deal creates a team of "embedded evaluators" who will red team AI models and stress test safety guardrails before they're deployed.
The deal comes just weeks after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei publicly called for the AI industry to slow down and prioritize safety over the race.
$META
is up 7% today as it announces a new undersea cable connecting the US and France.
The cable, called Petal, will carry 1 petabit per second, double the capacity of today's most advanced subsea cables.

So it seems the AI CEOs came out to scare the Bulls out of their shares only to load up on Semis. Just when we thought the coffin was nailed, the AI/Semi trade woke up and moved back to the neutral zone. The zone where we need more conviction on both sides of the trade. SOXX closed above the 50 DMA but letβs see if there is follow through on Monday. This second attempt at 530-535 area is a crucial point for Bulls. If it fails for a second time, then we are heading South. Anything is possible next week but 560 only comes into play if price closes above 535 with a follow through the next day.
Bears can only celebrate if AI regulation becomes a highly debated topic between the two super power leaders during XIβs visit next week.
My advice on SOXX remains the same: IF you are a Bear, buy SOXS here and set a stop if SOXX closes above 535 with a follow through next day. If you are a Bull, set a stop below 500 on SOXX with similar follow through stops. GLTA!

As you can see those resistance points are where the 20 day and 50 moving averages lie. Shorts will capitalize if the gap up fails to hold. At that point shorts then may bring it even lower than $6.75. If bulls succeed next major resistance will be the 100 day moving average.
