You are your first leader and follower simultaneously.
Masters are those who by nature have suffered to get to where they are.
They have experienced endless criticisms of their work, doubts about their progress, setbacks along the way.
They know deep in their bones what is required to get to the creative phase and beyond.
I feel poor because I compare myself to billionaires.
I feel skinny because I compare myself to bodybuilders.
I feel dumb because I compare myself to Nobel prize winners.
But guess what?
This is exactly why I’ll keep getting better.
Life is lived on the extremes.
People who label a lack of purpose as ‘normal’ and being mission-driven as ‘workaholic’ are very dangerous to be around.
They will infect you with their destructive mindset in a heartbeat.
Why even set goals if they merely require mediocre effort while coasting comfortably?

Some people would call me crazy for taking these risks again and again.
But honestly?
There is nothing else I would rather spend on.
No clothes and no fancy dinners will replace the feeling of progress.
