@Andy1886_@southstandsays We couldn't afford to match the deal being offered to JC, let alone commit to it up until he's almost 35, as Coleraine have done. After not fully successful knee surgery, will he still be value for money until the end of his contract?
@southstandsays Personal abuse aimed at him and his father (which has happened before away at Coleraine) crosses the line and is not justified just because of a poor performance on the pitch.
@SorchaEastwood A very undemocratic attitude, particularly from a politician. Ignore the result of a democratic vote, where people were free to make their own, clear decision, not follow a party line.A full referendum carried out for all UK citizens to vote on the future of their UK.Accept it
@BelTel_Sport@StevenBeacom5 So are the IFA chiefs only keen for this to go ahead because there's something substantial in it for them personally if games are held in Belfast?
@SuzyJourno Why where there none of these legal challenges when Tony Blair and Gerry Adams cooked up the "letters of comfort" scheme, giving immunity from prosecution to almost 200 top Republican terror suspects? It was buried deep in the small print of the GFA and nobody dared mention it.
@DazzaB1987@BelTel_Sport@OfficialBlues The quantity of flares brought into the ground has to be addressed by the security company tasked with stopping such items being getting in.Crowds gathering at gates that are normally open, only to be kept shut was a major factor. Whoever made that call needs sacked.
@G99____@Bluebro1lfc@SundayLifeSport@LooneyStephen None of the players are employed by Larne FC, Larne FC's accounts, as per the UGov website, show very little detail as there are no employees and only ground rental income which is balanced against ground upkeep.
We're not in the past now, there are FFP rules these days.
@G99____@Bluebro1lfc@SundayLifeSport@LooneyStephen How? What football governing body does a non registered football club submit it's books to? Larne Community Football cap is whatever KB decides he wants to pay.
@Bluebro1lfc@SundayLifeSport@LooneyStephen Larne FC will have no bother getting round this, the players representing them on the field are employed by Larne Community Football who aren't a registered football club, so can't be investigated as one.
@News_Letter So she wants to break the rules of the power sharing executive set up under the GFA? I can imagine the response if a Unionist suggested doing likewise when SF collapsed the government for 3 years.
@the_peakys @GerardDevlin17 In truth, at the minute, no. Both teams have had spells where they've had a golden generation come through together and qualify for a tournament or two, that isn't going to change as small nations. Even an all Ireland team would be a small nation and still be in the same boat.
@Jason23Reid1 Glens reaping what they sowed. They started throwing money about like confetti, getting into bidding wars with Larne and interfering in other clubs transfer business just to drive prices up. Can't blame clubs for holding out when they've seen what has been paid before.
@PaulVance63@StevenBeacom5 The reason Linfield and Cliftonville aren't playing has nothing to do with religious beliefs. If Cliftonville didn't have 3 players carrying suspensions from last year, the game would've went ahead on Sunday. Cliftonville are using the "consent of both teams" rule to postpone.
@SorchaEastwood So would you back introducing charging the equivalent of €60 to visit your GP or €100 a visit to A&E to help fund the nurses? If making comparison, compare like for like.
