When the General Assembly returns later this month, they have another chance to deliver on a gas tax holiday for Virginia drivers.
Democrats ran on promises of “affordability.” They should work with Republicans to actually deliver more affordable fuel for working families.
Now, more than ever. Gas tax relief! July 1 until September 1. Back of the envelope cost: $250 million. With the back drop of an extra $1.5 billion in “new money” just discovered in state coffers - this is a bipartisan no-brainer.
REMINDER: On March 27, @RyanMcDougle & @delterrykilgore called for a gas tax holiday to deliver immediate relief to hard-working Virginians.
Democrats refused then. They have another chance to deliver during the upcoming special session. They ran on “affordability.” Now it’s time to deliver.

Walking the quiet streets of Colonial Williamsburg at dusk this week ahead of Memorial Day, I was reminded how deeply America’s story is tied to sacrifice, remembrance and continuity.
Memorial Day formally emerged after the Civil War, when Americans began decorating the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers — an act of that eventually became a national holiday honoring all Americans lost in military service.
Since we are in the midst of our nation’s 250th anniversary, that history is important.
In Williamsburg, the past never feels terribly far away. Cannons still stand watch near the old Capitol. Lanterns glow along Duke of Gloucester Street. Ancient churches, brick pathways and quiet burial grounds remind visitors the American experiment was never inevitable.
It was defended. Preserved. Carried forward generation after generation by ordinary Americans willing to bear extraordinary burdens.
Most of us will spend this weekend with family, friends, cookouts and travel — all good things. In many ways, those simple freedoms are part of what generations of Americans fought to protect.
But Memorial Day also asks us to remember those who never came home.
As twilight settled, I was struck by how much of our history — and our responsibility — still echoes through these places.
May we prove worthy stewards of the inheritance we’ve been given.

Thank you @SeanHannity for having me on your program tonight to discuss how Virginia Democrat’s attempts to silence millions of voters and seize power was proven to be unconstitutional and why their new scheme to remove every Justice on the Virginia Supreme Court simply because they ruled that their plan was illegal is appalling and undemocratic.

Sometimes it’s tough to figure out what to order but tonight wasn’t that night. Only one appropriate meal in honor of today’s victory for Virginia voters … two less lobsters in Va tonight. #NoLobsterDistricts
My office just issued an official opinion explaining that the constitutionally required process to amend the Virginia Constitution cannot be short-circuited by a last-minute vote of the General Assembly taken during an ongoing election.
Vote “NO” wins in the Virginia Supreme Court. Election results from last month giving “YES” a win - are now null and void.
What a battle royal to claw back what Virginia already had: fair, balanced, honest congressional district maps.
Kudos to the two below for leading the charge, along with those who took it to court, and pressed onward.
A great day for Virginia leading the way during America’s 250th.
Statement from Virginians for Fair Maps Co-Chairs @JasonMiyaresVA and @EricCantor.
This is a win for voters across the Commonwealth. Justice has been served.
It’s an honor to be endorsed by my friend, and State Central Committee member, @DavidBotkins. David is always working hard to help Republicans win all over Virginia. 🇺🇸
A MASSIVE new lithium deposit was just discovered in Appalachia that ramps up our domestic supply chain for this critical mineral. This is a big win for America’s economy and national security. Was just on @NewsNation with @bungarsargon to discuss.
