Don't be overwise; fling yourself straight into life, without deliberation; dont be afraid - the flood will bear you to the bank and set you safe on your feet again.
Seeing people say "This is how we grew up" blahblahblah annoys tf out of me. That man wants to see that kid hurt. If you can do this to your child or someone else's or watch an adult do that to a younger person, you've been battered and need therapy.
This turns childhood into a power struggle. And the outcomes are often the same:
The quiet but poisonous child (obedient outside, resentful inside).
The hardened, defiant child (disobedient because he no longer cares).
Many parents discipline their kids not because the child's action is harmful, but because of how it looks to others.
The "what will people say?" mindset easily slips into ego.
