On November 25, I had the pleasure of joining Dr. Marcia Ostashewski and a number of our esteemed colleagues in Ottawa as she received an Impact Award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in the category of Connection.

This research work supports the essence of CBU’s strategic priorities of recognizing truth and seeking reconciliation, with actions to support the decolonization of the music industry across the world.

Yesterday we celebrated the Cape Breton University Fall Graduating Class of 2024.

Each of these graduates carries forward the legacy of perseverance that has defined Cape Breton University for more than half a century.

I would like to extend a warm congratulations to our CBU CAPERS Women’s Soccer Team for taking home Gold at the AUS Championship this weekend at St. Francis Xavier University.
