We quantify the uncertainty associated with downscaling & bias-correcting CMIP6 climate models. This uncertainty is important in many circumstances!

Our main takeaways?

Downscaling & bias-correction are relatively large sources of uncertainty:

🕓 over the near-term
🥵 in projections of temperature extremes
🌧️ in projections of precipitation
🗻 in regions of complex terrain and/or observational disagreement
