@KirkTovey Losing 3 integral players is a tough predicament and puts a lot of pressure on the recruitment team to find the right replacements who have the best prospects of achieving the same outcomes but I wouldn’t want to hold any of those players back if moving on/up is what they want.

@KirkTovey In theory I agree with this but in reality the players individually are professionals looking to achieve the most they can out of their careers and test themselves at the highest level. Part of building a reputation as a club is to do right by your people (inc players).

@KirkTovey It has to be considered a successful season. Even if opportunities were wasted, the pre season expectations were comprehensively surpassed. The lingering frustration will be was this our best chance to secure Europe (eg. key players likely to move on, Man U/Tott bottom half)
