@nhimak @ArmrcGrypr Came into the mentions just to see how long it would take for someone to post this inane comic as a "rebuttal." Answer: not long at all.
@eyezcreems@politicalmath@TheFP Can you direct me to this? I'm genuinely just interested in confirming someone's done this given the thread is going viral.
@AGHamilton29 Another reason why, regardless of whether the indictment should have been brought or whether the case is strong, Trump may actually get convicted, right? Seems like it's going to be very hard for jurors to approach this dispassionately.
@daylinleach@charlescwcooke Plenty of Democrats do. Are they also hypocrites for not referring to Soros-backed politicians/groups as "Soros-backed"?
It's a tactic both sides use regularly to motivate their base. Notably, only one side thinks it's bigoted when the other does it.
@ComplexAltruist@HearIcant@williamwelsh@Duderichy No, he really doesn't. And it's hilarious how predictable that change of heart was. Also funny to watch his supporters concoct rationalizations or otherwise delude themselves instead of just saying "yeah, okay, he's a bit hypocritical."
@BurnTheShorts@StealthQE4 My friend, house fires and burglaries are far more common than losses to depositors at an FDIC-insured, systemically important bank.
@StealthQE4 Also, this guy is almost certainly telling on himself if similar sized checks cleared quickly for him in the past. Sounds like the bank has some concerns about the check clearing and/or his ability to cover the funds if it doesn't.
@StealthQE4 Holds on checks drawn from other banks are a very common thing, and I know Wells did this for checks over a certain amount (with some exceptions) when I worked there. Why do you think cashier's checks exist?
@RocCityBuilt@MarcGoldwein Banking is boring (for the most part).
I don't know how else to describe current banking regulation other than "strong."
What are "moderate profits?"
There is basically never any major issue where Warren's preferences are correct. She's the epitome of hubris/leftist populism.
@sensiblemoderat@MarcGoldwein Workers are allowed to and have done so, for what little good it's done them.
Stewart's response to Fed policy is entirely predictable and underscores why Congress shouldn't directly decide monetary policy - political ideologues will pursue their preferred policies at any cost.
@madison_tayt Best part is all the Europeans unironically defending this as if they wouldn't lose their fucking minds if some American on holiday in Europe eschewed local customs because "that's not how we do it."
@ThePostingScout If you're a big analytics guy, I'd love to hear the data-driven argument for DM>KH. The argument seems to boil down to:
1) he's better short ydg and/or between tackles (he's really not)
2) better receiver (based on?)
3) better blocker (tertiary RB responsibility and based on?)
@ThePostingScout @Cmurino84@TheBennettK So we're agreed he's definitely the better runner?
Whether to buy KH is dependent on whether Eberflus and co. are willing to use him as the clear RB1 and give him 250 touches. Not sure they're willing to do so yet.
@ThePostingScout @Cmurino84@TheBennettK It's not trivial. He's as good as or better than Monty in all scenarios, short yardage and between tackles included. He's also consistently outperformed Monty when he gets volume.
