This picture won the Pulitzer prize in 1960. It shows a priest giving the last rites to a Cuban farmer, owner of his land. He refused to work for the Castro regime. He died by a firing squad after a "trial" by Che Guevara that lasted 4 minutes.
This is a picture of Socialism.
Fr. Steven Scheier nearly died in a 1985 crash, he said he stood before Jesus in judgment.
Watch his testimony 👇
No excuses.
No negotiations.
Only the truth of his life before God.
He had unconfessed mortal sins.
His judgement was Hell for eternity.
Then he says he heard a woman’s voice:
“Son, would You spare his life and his immortal soul?”
It was Our Lady.
Mary was not more merciful than Jesus.
Mary was doing what a mother does.
👉 She interceded.
👉 She pleaded.
👉 She asked that one more chance be given.
And Jesus said:
“Mother, he’s yours.”
That is why Catholics ask Mary to pray for us.
Not because she replaces Jesus.
But because Jesus gave her to us as our Mother.
Every Hail Mary ends with the most important request of our life:
“Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.”
Now.
And at the hour of our death.
➡️ Do not wait to become holy.
➡️ Do not wait to go to Confession.
➡️ Do not wait to pray the Rosary.
Because one day, it will be our moment before Jesus.
And you will want your Mother there.
“The first Christian service on our soil was a Catholic mass.”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio deliveres a powerful speech reminding America of its deep Catholic heritage
Mel Gibson lost his home in the wildfires, yet his response was strikingly calm.
“God gives, God takes. We come in with nothing, and we go out with nothing.”
He recalled his father’s favorite passage — look at the birds of the air and the flowers of the field; they’re taken care of. So stop worrying about money and possessions. Seek first the kingdom of God, and you’ll always be okay.
He even described the loss as “a blessing and a purification,” while acknowledging the nightmare of dealing with insurance companies.
When everything material is stripped away, what do you lean on — faith, resilience, or something else?
Bill Maher: “I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000. They've burned 18,000 churches. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?”
Pope Leo XIV opposes unjust war, genocide, abortion, contraception, same-sex marriage, IVF, and transsexualism.
Trump is soft or permissive on ALL those issues. Yet Trump calls the Pope “weak.” Who is the “weak” one?
The very young, very trad priest who celebrated Mass at our parish this morning began his homily with, “Today I will be preaching on the first reading, from the book of Acts, also known as the communism reading.”
The whole congregation laughed.
Father then proceeded to explain, per soon-to-be-Blessed Fulton Sheen, that communism is not the way. Giving of ourselves, personal generosity, sharing economic wealth voluntarily with our brothers in Christ, and detachment from material goods are what Jesus calls us to do as His followers.
It was exactly the clarity the faithful needed. A refreshing and encouraging reminder that the newest generation of Catholic priests are ultra trad, conservative, theologically sound, and unafraid to preach what might be culturally unpopular.
I love how Cardinal Arinze gave this protestant a perfect response as regards the sacrament Catholics receive.
I love how Cardinal Arinze defends the Catholic Church and the doctrines.
He inspires me greatly!!
Baptised Catholics who walk away from the true Church often claim they have “seen the light.”
But let’s be clear, that is not the light.
No failure of a priest.
No scandal of a bishop.
Not even the weakness of a Pope is ever a justification to abandon the Catholic Church.
The truth is this: you don’t leave Christ because of Judas.
The Catholic Church is not built on the perfection of men. it is built on Christ Himself and sustained by the Eucharist.
Those who truly understand and value the Eucharist do not walk away from it.
Call it what it is, not “seeing the light,” but turning away from it.
Leaving the Catholic Church is synonymous with turning away from the Light.
When I make posts about how the communion we consume every day at Mass is the real Jesus, I hear Protestants tell me things like: "That's cannibalism, why would you say that?? It is wrong! You Catholics are cannibals."
It is cannibalism when it is another person.
But this is not just another person.
This is the real divine. This is JESUS fully present.
This is the only way to obtain eternal life. Jesus himself said it.
John 6: 53-56
Jesus said to them, “I am telling you the truth: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves.
54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them to life on the last day.
55 For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink.
56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them.
It becomes the real presence of Jesus after an ORDAINED CATHOLIC PRIEST performs the rites, and transubstantiation happens.
It is not a symbol!
It is the real presence of Jesus.
Hundreds of men pray the Holy Rosary in the Zagreb square of Croatia. Women pray for them outside while pro-abortion protestors drum to drown out the prayers. But honestly, it only increases the fervour as it makes the spiritual war more evident.

Catholic family-born actress Catherine O’Hara, who passed away today, was once asked what role she would like to be known for, having acted in many legendary movies.
