I love when a comment is so wrong, that I get to pick the way I want to rip it apart.

1) United’s had an academy product in every match day squad for 88 years. That’s more than any other club in the fucking world, leave alone those two tin pots.

2) Until another English club wins the treble with 7 academy players in the squad, none has an academy that is even on-par with United.

3) In the last 10 years, United have had 73 academy graduates play in the top 5 leagues. City have had 59; Chelsea, 51.

4) In that same time, United have had 37 academy graduates actually play for the club; Chelsea, 27; city, 19.

When it comes to the highest highs, United wins. When it comes to the longest run, United wins. When it comes to the most players in the top 5 leagues, United wins. When it comes to the most academy players to actually play for the club that trained them, United wins.

There are exactly two clubs with academies to even begin to rival United— Barca and Ajax. Nobody else comes close.

@FurqanHaqq @darwintojesus You can argue atheism leads to logical positivism, but they are fundamentally not the same thing. And I would argue that 90% of atheists don’t understand the concept in the way you’re meaning. Nor would they agree they believe it to the extent you’re claiming they do.

@FurqanHaqq @darwintojesus The problem is that most religious people (of any religion) who want others to believe as they do demand that personal testimony is some type of top tier evidence that everyone should listen to. That’s backward for this situation.

@FurqanHaqq @darwintojesus I’m not saying eyewitness testimony isn’t evidence. I’m saying it’s not compelling evidence for most people. Saying “I saw someone walk down the street” is different from “I saw them running down the street while juggling three dogs and blowing purple bubbles.”

@FurqanHaqq @darwintojesus Material evidence? No. And personal experiences aren’t evidence for other people. There are also situations with the brain that can fake certain experiences, making any testimony questionable. Not fake, but reasonably questionable.

@RedMarrow_ @SwedishRumble I want to add something to this. We haven’t qualified for the CL two years in a row since we 17/18 and 18/19. The summer after CL games are when the CL money hits. Ergo, when the club has spent it.

@FurqanHaqq @darwintojesus Because the poster keeps posting misleading comments/memes deliberately to mislead people. “Most atheists” isn’t true. And tying atheists into the type of scientism associated with Hume is another way of poisoning the well.
