@craigkellyAFEE How was Robodebt, sports rorts, secret ministries, car park funding scandals etc etc woke? More to the point Australians are largely sick of self-serving political rhetoric, bickering and internal backstabbing from the primary parties. Most parties implode when ousted.
@mattjcan That is not exactly right - it was not about doing the best for all Australians - it was about standing up for your position - that is something I can respect - but I can't respect the implication it was an act of self harm for the benefit of the greater good.
@Matt_Camenzuli The ADF is mobilised by a Federal Govt Minister or the Governor General. The Stare Premier and the Sate Governor cannot do it as they are federal assets.
@HonTonyAbbott I think it is at the feet of both major parties. Radicalism has not just arisen in the last 3 years, certainly their focus has been directed at Israel but their general risk has been evident for much longer. What has any party done that has been effective to protect all citizens.
@VividProwess The original proposal was for a two state solution. For various reasons that has not occurred. There is a difference between wanting a peaceful place for people to live there (Palestine) and a mindset that is opposed to the existence of Israel.
@actualAlexJames How do you deport your own citizens. Our policies allowed them to come and gain permanent residency and citizenship. We accepted the problem - now we have to deal with the consequences and not just send them away.
@Eve_Barlow I can't disagree more. The anti-Semitic attack that occurred is only one aspect of the radical attacks and activities we have seen arise over the last 25 years - they have affected all communities. The radical ideology is intolerant of all beliefs that do not align with theirs.
