Forget managers and systems - this squad is still so far short and imbalanced it’s criminal - Cunha, Bruno and Mount all 10s & neither Amad (technical) nor Mbuemo (more a forward) are the type of pacy, skillful wingers to play the ‘Utd’ way many are advocating. A mess. #MUFC

Either play Bruno as a no.10 and make a tough decision, or take the £100million from Saudi and invest in a midfielder (or two) - shoehorning Bruno into a two-man pivot hurts and unbalances the team and continuing with that experiment is weak on so many levels #MUFC

Coaching ability matters, but the most important thing for the next England manager is courage to pick the best team for a defined system, not the best 11 individuals. Shoehorning “undroppable” players and “big names” has been England’s biggest problem for decades. #England

Analyse the minutiae all you like, but this is simply (still) a very mediocre United squad with no real direction or cohesion (on the pitch or in transfer strategy), despite enormous sums spent on (mostly) average players - miles away from challenging for the league #MUFC

I’m all for backing the manager and potentially over-paying to secure targets, but there has to be a limit - big difference between over-paying by £5-10million and potentially (in the case of Antony) over-paying by arguably £35-£45million. Should walk away. #MUFC
