Very excited to announce I’ve been lumped in as one the Scottish Voices, a group of freakily talented up and coming writers cherry picked by the BBC. What a dunt its been.
All this week we're announcing the 69 writers who've been part of our Voices development groups for 2022.
Today meet the Scottish Voices! We're incredibly excited to introduce this talented bunch. Meet them all and find out more over on our blog https://t.co/n86yVt5MjQ

Of the 9 narrative features in Screen Scotland's Cannes brochure:
4 have Scottish directors (44%).
Of 14 writers, 4 are Scottish (28%).
With producers, I couldn't ascertain all nationalities, but of the 23 I could identify, 3 are Scottish (13%).
Many are London-based as well.

In film, TV and radio, just over 8% of creatives are from working class backgrounds - the lowest in a decade - while over 60% are middle or upper class.
I still can’t believe that MTV used the files for the Revenge of the Sith game to make Anakin Skywalker sing ‘Take Me Out’ by Frank Ferdinand to a crowd of Clone Troopers is real and aired on live TV.
