Community health centers like this clinic in Madera are often the lifeblood of their communities.
They are often the first place families turn to for care, serving rural communities and our most vulnerable Californians. As Secretary of HHS, I worked hand in hand with community health centers to help deliver COVID-19 vaccines, and I saw firsthand the vital role they play by providing preventive care, primary care, and other essential health services.
During National Health Center Week, I'm proud to celebrate these clinics and the dedicated health care workers who keep our communities healthy.
