@wendyzuk I was just listening to your episode on Opioid Addiction, and you said of a drug "It's more like Hanukkah than Easter, that is, it's much less impressive." Would you mind explaining what you meant by that?

@cliffski Ribbons often work better for rocket trails than long streams of particles, much fewer tris and draw calls.

I don't buy claims of 100 hr work weeks in game dev. Do they really get to the office at 8 AM every single day and work solidly until 10 PM?

FF movie running on Geforce 3. Looks much better than modern games. Animation is more important than poly count! http://youtu.be/PkbyNZ55kMg

Safeway delivered groceries late, and left frozen goods to melt in a puddle on the floor. They refuse to give a refund. #Safeway

@cliffski I was thinking Wolfire blog, since we haven't done a tech post in a while :) Are there any topics in particular that I should hit?

[David Rosen @DavidIRosen]

@cliffski Maybe I could write some intro GLSL blog posts if that would be useful

@S0phieH Barney Stinson vs Don Draper?

[David Rosen @DavidIRosen]

@infinite_ammo I think it looks cool, but it's weird that the victim just gets up and keeps fighting like nothing happened (in other vids)

Really underwhelmed by Crysis 2 demo. 10 fps physics without interpolation, really Crytek? Texture streaming reminds me of early UE3 games.

@miraling metainsomnia?

My health insurers just called to do a customer service survey. Their service would be better if they didn't ask me to do surveys at 11 PM.

@S0phieH I did all the OG animations in blender 2.5 using Nathan Vegdahl's rig, it is really nice

[David Rosen @DavidIRosen]

@max_mcguire Yeah, me too -- I would at least like to see them animated!

Freezing rain makes nice ice shells around everything. http://yfrog.com/h8l3vqj

@mikekasprzak I think Win7 and Mac OS 10.6 might actually have decent resolution-independence now, but haven't tested it myself

[David Rosen @DavidIRosen]

@mikekasprzak I hope it will be a sign that high-res monitors are coming soon -- so tired of ~72 dpi

[David Rosen @DavidIRosen]

@theGiallo Just tried it -- it's like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat special moves in a Diablo-like context. Cool!
