Good news for Gothenburg. Israeli defense tech company Elbit is opening its first European production center for laser warning systems in my former hometown, with 100+ jobs. While some in Europe talk about isolating Israel, Israeli innovation is choosing Gothenburg, and Sweden is choosing partnership. This is what real friendship looks like: shared security, Swedish jobs, and technology that protects lives. Tack, Elbit. Välkomna till Göteborg! @ElbitSystemsLtd@Calcalistech https://t.co/SOB0tc6GBe
Thank you, Katharina Von Schnurbein for your tireless commitment to combating antisemitism and supporting Jewish life in Europe.
EJA is deeply grateful for your dedication to Jewish communities. Congratulations and every success in your upcoming role in Germany.

Happy for Germany, sad for Brussels. I have known Katharina von Schnurbein since 2019, and she is a true champion. For Europe's Jewish communities she was a voice, a shield and a friend inside the European Commission. Now Germany gets her, and I could not be happier for them. Europe must not lose her fire. Every government should fight antisemitism with her kind of courage. Congratulations, dear Katharina. @kschnurbein@JuedischeOnline https://t.co/OE2wp47naG
Imagine being told to hide who you are. That is the reality for Ireland's Jews today. Yesterday in Dublin, Maurice Cohen said what so many feel: no one should have to choose between being proudly Irish and proudly Jewish. I stand with him. This is spreading across Europe, but sadly Ireland leads the way. The test is simple: can Jews live openly and safely? Fund security. Enforce the hate crime laws. Let Jewish life flourish. Let Ireland hear it. @BoardofDeputies

Stockholm 1 - Oslo 0. Oslo rewarded an antisemite with the peace prize, one who will never contribute to peace in the Middle East. Stockholm rewarded knowledge that actually makes lives better. Congratulations to Robert E. Hall and Michael Woodford on the 2026 prize in economic sciences. Behind every inflation figure are people trying to make ends meet. Knowledge matters when it makes lives better. @NobelPrize

Yesterday, Frankfurt awarded the first Georg Stefan Troller Prize for reporting on Jewish life. I celebrate the journalists telling these stories. Jewish life deserves headlines for its creativity, not only its crises. More voices = more Jewish life. @JuedischeOnline@n1ckism@Jo_Schultheis

Yesterday in Brussels, marchers chanted "Intifada." So I have one question for everyone marching against Israel in Europe's streets: if your problem is only with Israel, why do Jews in Europe feel so much less safe? Tell the truth. 👇 @EJAssociation
Six million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust. Now their suffering is being weaponized to demonize the one Jewish state at pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Stockholm.
This is Holocaust distortion. This is a desecration of the victims’ memory. This is wrong on so many levels.
A Nazi salute on the streets of London, in 2026. Let that sink in. @JewishChron reports an arrest at yesterday's march. This is not activism, it is open hatred. Europe must protect peaceful protest and confront antisemitism with the full force of the law. Now, not after the next tragedy. @antisemitism

Antisemitic threats are rising everywhere in Europe. Now Lithuania, where volunteers are left to guard synagogues without clear safety guidance. I share the community's call: prevention, not only response. Governments must act before it is too late.

Varför flyttar SVT fokus mot Gaza på 7 oktober?
SVT borde ställa sig en enkel fråga: Varför fick offren för Hamas massaker inte stå i centrum ens på sin egen minnesdag? skriver jag i @kvartalet

Yesterday, 381 MEPs finally said it out loud: Islamist networks are a threat to all of Europe, not only to Jewish communities. Now it's on the Commission to act, not file this away. Follow the money. Cut the networks off.

October 7 evokes strong emotions. I too feel grief and anger at the suffering and slaughter of innocent people. But knocking down the EU and Israeli flags at our commemoration exhibition does nothing to ease that suffering.
We should come together to honour the victims and work to ensure such atrocities never happen again. Remembrance deserves respect.
Israeli passengers became heroes on flight FZ1073. Their courage, alongside Captain Smit Machchhar and the crew, helped avert disaster.
EJA is proud of their bravery and grateful to every hero who brought them home. 💙

No Jew should have to calculate whether being visibly Jewish makes them a target in a European city.
And perhaps it is time we stopped treating every antisemitic attack, threat and act of intimidation as an isolated incident.
Jewish communities across Europe are facing a wider and deeply troubling pattern of hostility. When calls to “Globalize the Intifada” are heard on our streets, we cannot ignore the fear and consequences such rhetoric can have for Jewish communities.
This is not just about individual incidents. It is about the ability of Jews to live openly, visibly and safely in Europe.
Statements are no longer enough.
We call on European governments and authorities to strengthen security around Jewish institutions, enforce laws against antisemitic hate and violence, and ensure that those who threaten or attack Jewish communities are held accountable.

Sweden’s Minister for Social Affairs, Jakob Forssmed, came to my home to talk about the situation for Jews in Sweden and across Europe.
I gave him the new EJA and WJC report on the issues that matter most for Jewish life in Sweden, and where every party stands ahead of the election.
I meet every party that wants to talk. That’s the job.
Being neutral doesn’t mean staying silent or keeping your distance. It means talking to everyone.
This was antisemitism.
Four men have admitted burning four Jewish volunteer ambulances outside a London synagogue.
They didn’t target them by accident. They targeted them because they were Jewish.
When even an ambulance becomes a target simply because it is Jewish, we should stop looking for softer words.

The true measure of our democracy is not how many politicians with security protection dare to wear a Star of David.
It is how many Jews dare to wear one without it.
Simona Mohamsson wore a Star of David during a party leaders’ debate. The threats followed. Now Sweden’s Security Service has opened an investigation.
Think about that for a second.
In Sweden, in 2026, the Security Service is investigating threats against someone because she wore a Star of David.
That says quite a lot about where we are.
