Breast Cancer Canada and the Canadian Society of Surgical Oncology (CSSO) are proud to announce the BCC–CSSO Career Development Research Award. This new initiative is focused on the growth of Canada’s surgical oncology talent pipeline.
An investment of $200,000 will help keep Canada’s top breast cancer surgeons here at home by supporting early-researchers at a critical stage in their careers.
The goal? To see patients across the country benefit from world-class expertise, innovative research, and high-quality, evidence-based breast cancer surgery: by Canadians, for Canadians.
We are pleased to announce Dr. Matthew Castelo as the inaugural award recipient. His research project, PROTECT, will explore the variation in breast cancer surgical care across Canada.
