Do You Want To Know The Truth? To Borrow The Old Cliché, “Truth Will Set You Free.”
FORMAL STATEMENT AND DEMAND FOR RETRACTION ORSUBSTANTIATION
Long David Liu
Candidate for California State Assembly, District 49 October 13, 2026
To: DSA Los Angeles (DSA-LA) and California DSA
I formally demand that DSA-LA and California DSA remove the following disputed statement from their 2026 voter guides and issue a public retraction, including notice to individuals and organizations that received or were distributed the voter guide.
The following statement appeared in the DSA-LA 2026 Voter Guide.
DSA-LA Statement: “You won’t believe this, but he also hates immigrants, taxes, and trans people.”
My Response: I categorically reject the accusations that I hate immigrants or transgender individuals. Your statement goes beyond political disagreement and fair comment and attributes personal hatred to me without identifying supporting evidence.
Political Disagreement Is Not Personal Hatred
I am concerned that I am among the relatively few candidates in your guide described in such personal terms. While other Republican candidates are generally criticized for their policies, you chose to portray me as someone who personally hates entire communities.
As a Chinese-American attorney with over 20 years of experience, I have represented individuals and families from diverse immigrant, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My professional record reflects my commitment to fairness and equal treatment under the law. I recognize the contributions immigrant families make to California.
My position on taxpayer-funded assistance, including financial aid for undocumented students, is that public resources should be allocated responsibly, prioritizing individuals who contribute to our state and meet appropriate eligibility standards. Disagreement over public spending is not hatred toward immigrants.
Likewise, disagreement over policies affecting transgender individuals does not constitute hatred toward them. Everyone deserves dignity and respect, regardless of background or gender identity.
Serious Concerns Regarding Personal Safety
Your language raises concerns about my safety. Accusing a candidate of hating entire communities risks intensifying hostility and contributing to harassment or intimidation.
Approximately two weeks ago, my campaign signs were taken away, and I was spat on. I do not allege DSA was responsible or that your publication caused these incidents. Nevertheless, these experiences have heightened my safety concerns.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, reminds us of the dangers of political violence. Your apparent hostility toward me, including your references to Charlie Kirk, is particularly concerning. Your
guide appears to reserve similarly harsh, personal language for very few political figures, including President Trump and Vice President JD Vance. This raises serious questions about why I was singled out and whether you considered the hostility your accusations might provoke.
Given these circumstances and my recent experience with harassment, I cannot simply dismiss the possibility that such language may encourage hostility or place my safety at risk. I do not presume to know your intentions, but the potential consequences demand serious consideration.
You must have considered how these accusations could affect my safety and encourage hostility toward me and the potential consequence when you chose to publish them.
Formal Demand: Retract or Substantiate Within 10 Days
This is a demand that DSA-LA and California DSA, within ten (10) calendar days of receiving this notice, either:
1. Publicly retract and correct the statement, removing it from voter guides under your control and publishing a correction with comparable prominence;
OR
2. Provide concrete, independently verifiable evidence supporting each accusation separately:
• Statements or conduct allegedly demonstrating hatred toward immigrants.
• Statements or conduct allegedly demonstrating hatred toward transgender individuals.
• Statements or conduct supporting your characterization of my position on taxation as “hatred.”
For each allegation, identify the original source, date, quotation or documented conduct, and relevant context. Political disagreement or party affiliation alone does not establish personal hatred.
I also request preservation of relevant editorial records, communications, drafts, and source materials concerning these accusations.
Reservation of Legal Rights
I expect a written response within ten calendar days. If you neither provide verifiable substantiation nor publish an appropriate retraction, I will pursue available legal remedies.
While DSA may have the right to criticize my policies and support my opponent, political disagreement does not justify unsupported personal accusations.
If you accuse me of hatred, provide the evidence—or retract the accusation.

Oh my god, Did the new lieutenant governor Romero actually make Long David Liu blush? Gloria Romero was the first women ever to be Majority Leader in the California Senate!

🚨 CBS pulled the curtain on the California CCP pipeline.
FBI files say Fang Fang, a suspected Chinese operative, had an intimate relationship with Eric Swalwell. He told the bureau she was his APAPA contact. He said C.C. Yin sent him to her for donations.
The Yin family founded APAPA and gave more than $4.4 million to California Democrats. Newsom campaigns took $364,817. His inauguration took $80,000. A nonprofit at his direction took $50,000. Harris campaigns took $214,300.
Fang volunteered on Judy Chu’s 2012 race. APAPA still places interns in offices including Chu.
Assemblyman Mike Fong, chair of the AAPI caucus, works the same APAPA circuit. Long David Liu is challenging him in AD49.
🚨Tips coming in on back channels allege the protesters targeting Liu are tied to the same network. That investigation is open.
Watch the video. The pipeline is the file.
Ballots not Bullets, Speak not Spit!
Exclusive: Long David Liu Interviewed by John Solomon and Amanda Head on terrible verbal assault incident outside San Gabriel Steve Hilton Town Hall the past weekend. Watch TODAY
MEDIA ADVISORY: Press Conference TOMORROW on Verbal Assault that occurred outside Steve Hilton Town Hall - multiple running candidates and sitting offices speaking.
What happened today should be a wake-up call for every single resident in California.
Long David Liu arrived this afternoon to support Steve Hilton’s campaign and advocate for his own run in California’s 49th Assembly District. But the moment he stepped out of his car, he was swarmed by a hostile group of protesters waiting for Steve. Carrying signs insulting candidates, the party, and supporters, their hostility quickly turned physical and personal when they saw David and his campaign sign.
In a matter of seconds, these protesters grabbed David’s personal campaign yard sign and even spat on him!
Think about this: David came to support an ally, but ended up taking the heat and taking the hit meant for Steve Hilton before Steve even arrived.
When challenged, these protesters brazenly dared David to call the police. And he did. Within two minutes, law enforcement arrived on scene to address the theft of private property and unlawful assault. Under California Penal Code (PC 242 for Battery and PC 484/594 for Petty Theft & Vandalism), actions like spitting on someone and stealing private property carry real criminal consequences, including fines and jail time.
When David told police officers that Steve owes him a beer, the officer said "make sure you get that"!
This isn't just political hostility—it is a direct attack on law, order, and basic personal safety. Long David Liu and Steve Hilton are running for Governor and the Assembly precisely to put an end to this lawlessness and protect our communities, our safety, and our property rights.
If we want a safer, stronger California where citizens and property are respected, we must stand together with leaders who fight for law and order. Let’s back Steve Hilton and Long David Liu! 💪🇺🇸
P.S. Hey Steve Hilton, it looks like David took a major bullet for you today... You definitely owe him a beer! 😉🍺🤝

WHY IS DAVID LIU SAYING ALL ASIAN AMERICANS ARE REPUBLICANS?
These custom signs were the only ones allowed. Fox News reported: Asian Americans for Trump.
Asian family values are Republican values.
Asian Americans: end birthright abuse.
Asian Americans for merit, not racial quota.
Honored this week. The recognition is for dedication to our community, but the work was never mine alone.
Senator Ted Cruz said it this week: Republicans have delivered historic wins, and there has never been a two-year stretch with more conservative victories. Celebrate them. Then go win more. In California that means finishing Asian American outreach. Families here already live the values of work, education, safety, and ownership. What has been missing is invitation and trust.
Assemblymember Phillip Chen has been doing that work for years. A Walnut Valley school board alumnus and one of the most effective Republicans in Sacramento, he keeps winning in North Orange County and proves an Asian American conservative can govern, not just comment. He showed what elected leadership looks like.
That same invitation is what Teresa Hernandez made real. As the first Latina president of the Lincoln Club of Orange County, California’s oldest and largest conservative donor organization, she led the Club through its greatest growth and opened its rooms to people who had been kept at the edge of the table. She has the courage to do what is right and the vision to build a coalition that can actually win this state. She showed what institutional courage looks like.
Daniel Deng walked through that door with me. He is my friend, a Lincoln Club member, and my brother. Our platforms together now almost reach over one million subscribers. He showed what friendship and media reach look like when they point at the same target.
I appreciate them more than any award can say. The honor is theirs as much as it is mine. Responding to Senator Ted Cruz: Now we go win more.
FBI STOPS SWALWELL AT SFO AND TAKES HIS PHONES
When the FBI meets you at the airport, it is rarely to help with your bags.
Federal agents served former Rep. Eric Swalwell with a search warrant at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday and seized his electronics, including his phone and laptop. His Washington home was searched the next day. Multiple outlets report the warrants are tied to a federal probe of sexual misconduct allegations that ended his Congress career and his California governor bid. He was held briefly for the search and released the same day. He has not been charged in this action.
The timing is not quiet. Days earlier, the White House released declassified FBI records on Swalwell’s past relationship with Christine “Fang Fang” Fang, a suspected Chinese intelligence operative. On X, the story is being treated as the next chapter, not a coincidence.
A warrant is not a conviction. It is also not nothing. The government now has his devices, and the investigation is no longer sitting still.
CHINESE NATIONAL CHARGED FOR CASTING A 2024 BALLOT
Can you believe this? They said noncitizen voting was a myth. Then someone got arrested for doing it under another man’s name.
Yupeng Sun, a Chinese national in Massachusetts, was charged with fraudulent voter registration and fraudulent voting. Prosecutors say he impersonated another Chinese national, registered online, and cast an early 2024 ballot at Malden City Hall. Court records quote him saying, “I used his name to vote.” He later allegedly tipped off federal agencies that the victim had voted illegally, after first filing fake immigration forms that helped put that same couple into removal proceedings. Karoline Leavitt posted the case this morning. White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said the message is simple: “We will find you, arrest you, and you will face the consequences. Only Americans should be electing American leaders.”
THIS is what an American HERO looks like. 🇺🇸
16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams saw a 10-year-old boy being PUMMELED by massive waves off the California coast.
He didn't hesitate.
Ryder threw himself into the raging surf, grabbed Nathaniel Rai and REFUSED TO LET GO as wave after wave crashed over them.
He saved that little boy's life.
Now, Ryder has stood in the Oval Office as President Trump looked him in the eye and recognized him for his heroism.
16 years old. Courage when it mattered most.
This is the next generation of America.🇺🇸
VOTER FRAUD CONFIRMED BY THE CENSUS BUREAU
Nothing says “secure elections” like discovering thousands of people who weren’t supposed to vote already did that last time. Apparently verifying citizenship is controversial, but letting noncitizens vote was just a paperwork issue.
You register legally and still get treated like the problem. The Census Bureau checked 128 million 2020 voter records and found more than 24,000 noncitizens who voted. Another 32 million records are still being reviewed. Trump’s response was simple: over 24,000 noncitizens voted illegally, the number is going to grow, and Congress needs to pass the SAVE America Act. The bill requires proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote. It already passed the House. The Senate is still acting like asking for ID is more dangerous than ignoring the problem. At this rate they’ll need ID to buy cold medicine before they need it to vote.
TRUMP AND KIM JONG UN BACK ON THE TABLE
You remember the first term meetings that no other president managed to pull off. Those talks are coming back into view. President Trump confirmed he plans to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un later this year. “Yeah, I will,” he told reporters when asked directly. He added, “I know Kim Jong Un very well, and he’s going to be fine as long as we have a smart president. The fact that I get along with him, that’s a good thing, not a bad thing.” Trump is pushing aides to arrange an in person summit as early as this fall, with one possibility tied to a November Asia trip that includes the APEC summit in China. He has also ordered reductions in certain U.S. South Korea military exercises, citing the relationship he built with Kim during their three meetings between 2018 and 2019. Analysts still point to North Korea’s nuclear arsenal and the collapse of earlier negotiations as serious obstacles. Yet Trump is treating the personal channel as an asset worth using again. High stakes diplomacy is returning to the table, and the president is making clear he intends to lead it himself.
ILLEGALS ARE STEALING YOUR TAX CREDITS: HERE'S WHAT THE WHITE HOUSE IS DOING TO FIX IT
Tax benefits paid by Americans should go to Americans. Apparently that sentence needed an official regulation to become true. Next they’ll have to issue a memo explaining that water is wet.
American workers fund the tax credits. Illegal aliens were cashing them anyway. The Treasury and the IRS just proposed rules that finally stop it. The Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, and similar refundable benefits will now be limited to U.S. citizens, nationals, and qualified aliens. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said it directly: the days of illegal aliens collecting taxpayer-funded benefits are over. The law is clear, and the Treasury is enforcing it.
