@MFerksnerder Marc, if you're Edgar Page's son could you get back to me? It's for a Putnam-related story I'm writing. Thanks so much. [email protected]
@telecam1@CNBC@CNBCMakeIt@josefannialbers Yes, one of the many memorable things he said. He also complained that winners of the Hartford Courant's annual writing competition were always about "God, Mother, and the old oak bucket."
Donald Trump famously asked ‘Where’s my Roy Cohn?’ Joe Biden should ask ‘Where’s my Edward Levi?’ For AG he needs a Levi-like figure irreproachable enough to weigh all Trump-related investigations and let them live or die as warranted. @maggieNYT@RonaldKlain
Wouldn't it be fitting if statues of John Lewis replaced some of those other monuments -- to Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and all the others -- coming down?
For obvious reasons, every Senator and Governor in search of ventilators and masks is treading lightly with #realDonaldTrump. But there has to come a time when, instead of putting on gloves, they'll need to take them off. When do you think that will be? @NormOrnstein
I wish @AriMelber, @chrislhayes and other @MSNBC'ers would stop hyping the 'indelible' stain now on Trump. Is Bill Clinton so stigmatized? The sad truth is that by going after him, the GOP debased the tool. It's not Andrew Johnson's or Richard Nixon's impeachment anymore.
I admire Chris Hayes #inners enormously, but his triumphalist Morton Downey-like pep rallies are really unworthy of him. He could better (and more illuminatingly) spend his time at a Trump rally, dissecting Trump’s enduring appeal and pondering how likely it now is to last.
From Mitt Romney, who has absolutely NOTHING to lose (and, in a party which, in the event of Gotterdammerung, has no other road-tested presidential alternatives), comes a small ration of self-interested and excruciatingly calibrated courage.
@temafrank I didn't do a family history, Tema...my topic was much more limited, to the events in our ancestral home during the Holocaust. If anyone spoke more broadly about the family -- I don't remember -- it was probably my brother Joe: [email protected].
There's inadvertent truth in the sickeningly disingenuous ads that #juul - which has made billions hooking teenagers to nicotine -- is running in the #NYTimes to decry youth #vaping . 'JUUL LABS,' they're signed, but artsy logo makes it look like 'JUUL LA BS.' Far more apt!!
