@wickdchiq The original budget increase was supposed to be 543M and 6K teachers to lower class-size. He cut 421M and 5K teachers to balance the budget. Perhaps it is necessary, but this framing feels unfair. That is exactly what a normie Dem would do. It’s basically what Adams did to NYPL.

If we had true high-speed rail, it would take longer to commute from Coney Island to Manhattan than it would to take the Acela from Philadelphia. Imagine how many housing shortages could be solved if Albany and Philadelphia were within an hour’s commute.
@nyc311@CMShahanaHanif@RitaJosephNYC The flooding between Coney Island Ave. and Ocean Parkway is always terrible. Catch drains never cleared, basements flood. City must meaningfully solve this problem. This is after only .35 inches of rain. East 9th and Ave C.
From walking around, talking to neighbors, and the Nextdoor app, sounds like they neglected to clear the storm catch basins all over #Brooklyn. Dangerous and irresponsible! Storm season is upon us. @nyc311@ShahanaFromBK@RitaJosephNYC@NYCMayor
