Sen. Majority Leader Scott Surovell, just now on Politics Hour, suggested that a two-seat Dem pick-up is possible if Virginia redraws its congressional maps but "after that, it gets difficult."
Also said it's too early to be talking about maps - voters have to weigh in first
@SenLouiseLucas Notably, Ferguson has claimed that a new map could harm Black representation. The exact opposite is true: Maryland Democrats could easily increase the number of majority-Black districts from two to three. Perhaps you could ask him why he hasn't done that yet.
@admcrlsn I love this infobox but I am very curious to understand why you've grouped Orthodox and Conservative Jews together. Conservative Jews are very close to Reform Jews in their politics (Pew, 2021) and very different from Orthodox—almost a 100 point net dif! https://t.co/OPGpYKgDpy

It's been a good news/bad news week for Dems and democracy in North Carolina: Allison Riggs was confirmed as the winner of a *second* recount, but the GOP just passed a flagrant power grab. We discuss it all on this week's episode of The Downballot podcast https://t.co/8MUAP76kBQ
A second recount has confirmed Allison Riggs won the North Carolina Supreme Court race, but Democrats have reason to fear the GOP could overturn the result. We explain why in our newest Digest https://t.co/LShF2JUvYc
For swearing-in w/ Kamala Harris, Sen Adam Schiff uses 1490 edition of Maimonides Mishneh Torah -“a monumental legal code and one of the most organized, comprehensive, and influential works of Jewish law.” The edition was published by Gershom ben Mosheh ish Sontsino (h/t @kampeas
@BryanRAnderson Statute says a second recount may be requested "within 24 hours of the completion of the first recount." Doesn't seem like the first one is complete though. https://t.co/SIwiA5EYaQ
