Russia, China, and the UK have rejected the U.S.-Israeli aid distribution plan for Gaza, instead demanding that Israel lift its 70-day siege.

UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher condemned the plan as a “cynical sideshow” and a “fig leaf for further violence,” warning it fuels mass displacement and limits aid to parts of Gaza, using starvation as a bargaining chip.

He accused Israel of “deliberately and unashamedly imposing inhumane conditions on civilians,” and called on the UN Security Council to act decisively to prevent genocide and uphold international humanitarian law.
