I’m incredibly blessed to announce my commitment to the United States Naval Academy. Thank you to my family for the sacrifices and constant support, and to my coaches for pushing me and believing in me every step of the way. I wouldn’t be here without you all. Grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey. Ready for the challenge ahead and grateful for the opportunity to grow as a leader, athlete, and person at the Naval Academy. #Committed #GoNavy

It’s mind-boggling that there aren’t more schools recruiting him! Super bright young man with tremendous work ethic that puts up numbers like this can completely change a program. Proven speed to sport athlete that will be the hardest working most humble player on your team.
One of the best running backs in the country. College coaches, get at him before it’s to late!!!!
2025 Season Stats:
- 3,742 Rushing Yards (#2 Nationally)
- 58 Touchdowns (#3 Nationally)
Franklin secured a narrow victory over Pebble Hills, 28-15. Ernie ended up with 279 yards and 3 touchdowns. He finished the regular season with the highest recorded rushing yards, 3341, and touchdowns, 52, in El Paso football history. Love his hard work is paying off!
“I feel like even I get under recruited, I’m going to find a home and I’m just going to ball out there.”
3⭐️ RB Ernie Powers (@ErniePowers16) shockingly only has 5 D1 offers even after his exceptional performances + broken records he’s garnered this season.
