@TRT_Tricia @guardian Hi Tricia. There is a type of jumper called a Guernsey. I think that’s probably where the Geordie word for jumper, Gansey, came from.
@LearningMaths The numbers that can’t be scored are 23, 29, etc.
So we can’t do 60 + 60 + 23 but we can do 60 + 50 + 33.
We can’t do 60 + 60 + 29 but we can do 60 + 50 + 39.
Carry on. Not many left to check now.
3/3.
@LearningMaths It’s going to be a fairly large number.
Maybe start by working out what you CAN make.
You can obviously make any of the numbers from 3 to 60.
You can make any of the numbers from 61 to 80 (20 + 40 + 1..20).
81 to 100 (40 + 40 + 1..20).
101 to 120 (60 + 40 + 1..20). 1/2
@LearningMaths 121 to 140 (60 + 60 + 1..20).
Now it gets tricky but there aren’t many left to check.
Maybe we should now think about what numbers can’t be scored by a single dart. We can score 1.,20 and the doubles give us 22, 24, … 40 and the trebles give us 21, 27, etc.

@TaylorandPayne 11th September 1963 (so I’ll be celebrating 60 years as a NUFC supporter later this year). A 2-2 draw with Southampton. Newcastle goals scored by Barry Thomas and Ron McGarry.
@MrMurrayGreen@mrnalty Or you could change the grade boundary to 79.5 so that anything that has been rounded up to 80 gets the higher grade and anything that has been rounded down to 79 gets the lower grade.
@HalifaxAndrew @Bobby_Seagull The concept of learning styles has been debunked e.g. https://t.co/zBQf9LzCKl If you are going to do an internet search please search for "learning styles debunked" or learning styles myth".
@Bobby_Seagull They could start with "All you ever wanted to know about learning and teaching but were too cool to ask" available at https://t.co/4X0VJdRZm5 Aimed at FE college students but still relevant for HE students.
