Today, HPD Commissioner Dina Levy joins the @nycfuture Economic Mobility Summit for a conversation on how housing can expand opportunity for New Yorkers.
Thank you to the Center for an Urban Future and everyone part of the discussion.
#HumanShielding in action.
It is flabbergasting how a state born 76 years ago has managed to turn international law literally on its head.
This risks being the end of multilateralism, which for some influential member states no longer serves any relevant purpose.

A 60-year-old woman died of a stroke after Knoxville (TN) Police refused to get her medical help, instead accusing her of FAKING an illness and laughing at her! The lack of compassion for a woman pleading for help displayed in this video is just appalling! 🎥: @thetnholler
If you think the Memphis police officers had to be white in order to exhibit anti-Blackness, you need to take that AP African American Studies course Ron DeSantis just banned.
Before the Memphis Police Dept. releases the video of 5 MPD officers murdering #TyreNichols during a routine traffic stop, and that heinous video inevitably goes viral, I want to amplify THIS video of Tyre LIVING his best life. 🛹👑🙏🏿😔✊🏿

A remarkable race. Kenneth Mejia in Los Angeles ran for the obscure office of city controller... and made it all about a public education drive about how much LA is spending on policing.
Including taking out billboard to show graphs.
He's up 60%/40% rn. https://t.co/Z2VrnQ4ZmA
The worst part of Jay Jacobs ultimately is the utter absence of party-building. There is no functional statewide Democratic Party in New York. This was true under Cuomo and remains true under Hochul.
23 people in line at my election district in #bedtuy#brooklyn. Longest line I can remember in a long time - even in a Presidential year. #nyboe workers say it’s been like this all day. Crossing my fingers this is good news for turnout!
@JacobRubashkin Fascinating, clever, but also a little scary. Probably effective for some voters who might not necessarily be moved by traditional pro-abortion access messaging, but probably reinforces those same voters view that government is bad.
“Our state constitution, if this amendment passes, will say, ‘not here in New York and not on our watch.’ Our equal protection clause can serve as a model,” said Lee Rowland, policy director for the @NYCLU , adding: “That’s a big win.” https://t.co/b4Bvn21hz0
Alongside @CabanD22, @CMAmandaFarias, @CMFarahLouis, and @JulieMenin I am calling on Albany leadership to pass two pieces of legislation related to abortion and equal rights during the June 30 special session. Link to letter: https://t.co/2yR7aQ1Eku
The Equality Amendment would enshrine abortion rights in our state constitution - and provide a comprehensive path to protecting equal rights for all. Let’s do this.
